Willliam "Bill" Bumpus was born to William Glen Bumpus and Wanda Joyce Macalroy. He later welcomed his baby sister Shelly Renwick with open arms.
Bill, for the last 27 years, has called Tularosa his home. Setting his roots here, he became a general contractor by trade. He was able to be a master at his trade, which was handed down from father to son.
During his life here in Tularosa he met his best friend, lover and partner through his journey of life, his beautiful wife, Mary B. Baca. She was the beat of his heart. They share an equally beautiful daughter, Tomasita J. Bumpus.
In winter 2006, Bill welcomed his greatest joy - his grandson Evan Julian.
Bill had a love for music and his guitar. He was a beautiful musician and shared this talent with many people.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Joyce Bumpus; his sister-in-law Ester Baca; his brother and sister-in-law Carmen and Molly Baca; and brother-in-law Pedro Baca.
Bill is survived by his wife, Mary B. Baca; daughter Tomasita J. Bumpus; grandson Evan Julian; padrinos Anthony and Bertha Baca; father William G. Bumpus; sister Mary Renwick; and many nieces and nephews who were very much loved.
The rosary will be recited for Bill at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at St. Joseph's Mission, 114 Mission Trail, Mescalero.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the rosary at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, with Father Paul Botenhagen, O.F.M., as celebrant.
The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at St. Joseph's Mission, 114 Mission Trail, Mescalero.
The Bumpus family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.

I remember when I was a little girl and Tomasita was just kneehigh to a grasshopper, you would sit on the floor and play with us. There was a lot of those memories that I will cherish forever. Carmen and Molly were my parents, we spent alot of time with uncle Bill and aunt Mary.
