Anna Pauline Curtis, 80, of Arkadelphia, Ark., passed from this life on Nov. 10, 2012 at the Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center. Anna was born on Aug. 29, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Honeycut and adopted by Roy and Edna Elba 'Dockray' Worley when only a baby.
Upon the death of both Roy and Edna, Lois 'Worley' Williams daughter of Roy and Edna, and her husband, Jude Williams, took her to raise at the age of six. She grew up in the Sacramento Mountains and attended school at Mayhill, N.M. elementary then went on to high school in Cloudcroft. Jude and Lois moved to Alamogordo when Anna was 17 years old.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for many years and dearly loved all her family. On Nov. 20, 1958, she married Veolan Elmer Curtis in Alamogordo and they resided there until Veolan retired after which they moved from the Alamogordo area and lived several different places. Upon the death of her husband, she was moved to Arkansas where she lived out the rest of her life.
Anna is survived by two daughters Lois Ann "Kathy" 'Vick' Wininger (Terry), Carthage, Mo.; Janet Faye 'Curtis' Latham, of Del Norte, Colo.; two step-daughters Minnie Louise 'Showers' Honeycutt, of Hot Springs, Ark.; Deloris Kay 'Curtis' Ward, of Mountain Pine, Ark.; and 19 grandchildren, Kellie Jo Chacon, Sherry Ann Martinez (Kasey), Terri Ann Lathem, Micheal Eugene Thelan, step-grandchildren, J.L. Bice (Cassie), Joe Elden Bice (Heather), David Wayne Honeycutt (Dana) Alvina Pearl Jones, Anthony Wayne Tice (Erica), Will Honeycutt, Cassandra, Danielle, Amber, Wanda Fay Cunningham (James) Darrell Ray Showers (Helen), Donna Kay Johnson (Fred), James Allen Showers, Carrie Edna Sanford, Dennis Lee Showers. 53 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edna Worley, her husband, Veolan E. Curtis; one sister Willie Lois 'Worley' Williams; and three brothers Jimmie, Thomas Orval, and Jack Worley; one step-son Richard James Showers, four grandchildren Crystal Ann Thelan, Kenneth Micheal Curtis, Juanitta Louise Honeycutt and Clairce Starr; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Alamogordo Funeral Home.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at Mayhill Church of Christ with Eddie Coleman officiating.
The Curtis family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
