Alfred Lee Yarbrough Obituary
Our loving husband, father, brother and papa Alfred Lee Yarbrough died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at his home in Los Lunas surrounded by his loving family.
Al was born March 17, 1940, in Midland, Texas, to Thomas R. and Tressie Yarbrough. Al retired from Holloman Air Force Base. He was married for 28 wonderful years to the love of his life, Marie Yarbrough. Together they enjoyed working in their wood shop making beautiful crafts that many people admired. They also enjoyed fishing at the lake with treasured friends and family, and spent many hours bird watching. Al was an avid reader and, of course, had to have cookies and ice cream to go along with his latest book. He was a master storyteller and his family was always entertained by his humor and fun attitude.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; older brother Thomas R. Yarbrough; sisters Mary Alice Yarbrough and Juanita Reynolds; son Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough; and grandson Colton.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Marie Yarbrough; daughter Penny Judson and her husband, Brett, and their daughter Shyanne; daughter Lisa and her husband, Chad Weaver, and their children Chandler, Preston and Paige; stepdaughter Denise Musgrove and her husband, Allen, and their children: Amy Bell and her husband, Shane, and their children Kelsey and Kaden, Staci Musgrove, and Amber Ackley and her husband, Walt, and their children Jaden and Melia; stepson Gary Cunning and his wife, Dana, and their children Cody and Summer; brother Jimmy Yarbrough and his wife, Joy; sisters Barbara Hyde and her husband, Bernard, Elaine Bayes and her husband, Billy, Jeanette Rawles and her husband, Len, and Wanda Boyce and her husband, Sam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family conducted a celebration of Al's life on Saturday, June 4, 2011. His remains will be scattered in the Sacramento Mountains.
