Alice came to New Mexico in 1936 with her family. She met John Worley in 1942 in the mountains where he was driving a log truck for M.R. Prestridge and she was working at the "cook house" where he would eat.
They fell madly in love and were married a short time later in 1942 and lived in Alamogordo until John passed away in 2013 and Alice moved to live with her daughter, first in Los Alamos and then in Albuquerque. They had two daughters whom they raised in Alamogordo. They had been married 70 years before John's passing.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon L. Gray of Albuquerque, and Mona Kay Messer of Belen; four grandchildren Don A. Messer and his wife Beth; Tracy White and her husband Allen; Shauna Brotz and her husband Jon, and Terrell Gray and his wife Shelly – along with 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband John Allen Worley, two sons-in-law Don Messer and Norman Gray, her parents, one brother and three sisters.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home on Scenic Drive.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at the Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Robinson and Harold Trujillo officiating.

Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers include Terrell Gray, Jon Brotz, Wes Robinson, Phil Lane, Kenneth Lane and James Robinson.

The Worley family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
