Alice Marie Wolf Brown Obituary

Alice Marie Wolf Brown, 65, passed away Aug. 15, 2015.
She was born Sept. 8, 1949, to Frank and Bea Wolf and spent the first 12 years of her life on the family farm in Oklahoma. Her family then moved to Albuquerque, N.M., where she attended St. Pius and Highland High School. She attended Eastern New Mexico University and in 1971 met and married Vincent O. Brown.

Vince and Alice lived mostly in New Mexico, returning to Vince's hometown of Alamogordo in 1985, where she spent the next 30 years working for government contractors, including Land Air, DynCorp, NewTec and finally TRAX International where she was the Operations Financial Systems Manager. She also went back to school and earned a management degree from Parks College. Vince and Alice eventually moved to Las Cruces to be close to their children.

Alice is survived by her husband Vince, of the family home in Las Cruces; her two children, Julie Hughes and her husband Jeff and Anthony Brown and his wife Brynn; and four grandchildren who were the light of her life, Lexie, Jillian, Donovan and Colton, all of Las Cruces. She is also survived by one brother, Phillip Wolf, of California.

Alice's true love in life was spending time with and taking care of her family. She was the family seamstress, accountant and mediator. Later in life the hobby she invested the most time in was spoiling her grandchildren. She loved to host parties and decorate for the holidays and she and Vince enjoyed traveling with their friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.
An Inurnment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Alice's name be made to either the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, Md. 21727, or to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Fla. 32256.

The Brown family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
