Alonzo Hall 86, passed away Tuesday Jan. 8, 2008 at Casa Arena Blanca Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 13, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a resident of Alamogordo since 1994, after moving from Prescott, Ariz. He was a veteran of the Army, and served in World War II. He retired as a plumber in 1983 from Local 469, Phoenix, Ariz. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Mary Jo Hall, his son Ronald L. Hall and wife Linda Hall, of Wasilla, Alaska, his daughter Melanie J. Hall and her husband Patrick W. Arce, of Alamogordo, six grandsons, seven great grandchildren, and two very special and loving nieces, LaWanda May and her husband Bobby, of Oklahoma City, and Shirley Nowak and her husband Al, of Phoenix, Ariz. A private family viewing was held at Alamogordo Funeral Home on Thurs. Jan. 10, 2008 with Woodward Fountain, of First Baptist Church, giving a special message. In lieu of flowers, if friends or relatives desire, please make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, 1-800-805-5856. Cremation has taken place locally at PCS entrusted to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
