Amelia Q. (Quintanar) Sandoval Obituary
Amelia Q (Quintanar) Sandoval, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed away on June 9, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on December 27, 1930 in Silver City, New Mexico to Lazaro and Getrudes (Hernandez) Quintanar.

Amelia married Claudy Sandoval in 1957 and her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and wonderful cook, spending most of her life in the kitchen cooking and making her famous homemade tortillas. Nothing brought her more joy than to cook and care for her family. She gave all her heart and soul to them.
Survivors include her two daughters, Priscilla (Ronnie) Sierra of Silver City, NM, Doris (Steve) Dettmer of Albuquerque, NM; two sons, David Sandoval of Albuquerque, NM and Martin Sandoval of Alamogordo, NM;
She was preceded in death by her mother, Getrudes Quintanar; father, Lazaro Quintanar; husband, Claudy S Sandoval; daughter, Irene Triviso.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home .
The Vigil with Rosary for Amelia Sandoval will be recited at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Silver City, NM at 9:30 am, Saturday, June 16, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 16, 2018.
Burial will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery in Silver City, NM.
Pallbearers include: Ronnie Sierra, Steve Dettmer, Shawn Sierra, Todd Dettmer, Lance Dettmer and Brock Sandoval.

The Sandoval family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
