Arnold Glen Scrivner Obituary
Arnold Glen Scrivner, 62, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in Alamogordo. He was born Friday, Nov. 18, 1949, in Slayton, Minn., to Arnold and Marion (Attleson) Scrivner.
Arnold was a SFC E-7 in the United States Army, retiring after 21 years of service. He was a member of the VFW, Post 7686 and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margaret; parents Arnold and Marion Scrivner, of Yucaipa, Calif.; sons David A. Scrivner, of Tucson, Ariz., and Michael Scrivner, of Alamogordo; daughters Christina L. Scrivner, of Warwick, R.I., and Angela Scrivner, of Alamogordo; brothers Roy Scrivner, of San Bernardino, Calif., Alan Scrivner, of Victorville, Calif., and Joel Scrivner, of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; and one grandson, Quinn Scrivner, of Yuma, Ariz.
Rosary will be recited by Gloria Diaz at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow the rosary at 10 a.m. with Father Juan Montoya, OFM, as celebrant.
Family will greet friends from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the church before the rosary.
Military honors will be provided by the Army National Guard. The flag cordon will be provided by the Patriot Guard Riders.
Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
The Scrivner family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
