Barbara Ann (Harr) Jordan Obituary
Barbara Ann (Harr) Jordan was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Tupelo, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Harr) Beaugez; her first husband, Robert D. Montford, and her 2nd husband, Herbert O. Jordan, her daughter Rachael May Jordan, and her sister Virginia Brewster.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Jordan and wife, Jackie, of Odessa, Texas, Tom Jordan and wife, Deana, of Amarillo, Texas, Roger "River" Jordan of Timberon; and two daughters, Marguerita Jordan of Timberon and Darlene Virginia Montford of Ellisville, Miss.
She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Over the years she worked for attorneys in Mississippi, Nevada and Texas, along with being assistant to Cal Farley of Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch. But, her love of life were her dogs. She trained and showed dogs in obedience trials at dog shows throughout the southwest in the 60's and early 70's. She was the first woman member of the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors in the Midwest.
Barbara was most fond of her friends "on the mountain" in Timberon, and she called her home "Barbara's Mountain" where she lived. She will be sorely missed by her friends and her family, as they try to fill the empty spot she leaves behind.
Love you, Mom.
