Bertha's highest level of achievement came when she began her career at Rediger's Hallmark Store as manager for John T. Rediger from 1976 to 1995. On Jan. 18, 1979, Bertha was recognized with an award for "Small Business Selling Techniques." On July 5, 1983, Bertha received a Certificate of Excellence from Hallmark Cards, Inc.
