Mrs. Betty Jean Isley

Obituary Condolences

Betty Jean Isley, 82, passed away from multiple organ failure following heart surgery in Las Cruces.
Betty was born Nov. 30, 1926, to Harold and Clara Baird in Quincy, Ill. She was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and Veteran's of Foreign Wars Auxiliaries. She will be most remembered as a sweet, youthful lady who loved all she came into contact with. She was a resident of Otero County since 1989 where Betty and Gilbert came to be hosts at Oliver Lee State Park.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gilbert Isley of the family home; three sons, Clifford Isley and wife Brenda of St. Peter, Minn., David Isley of Round Rock, Texas, and Edward Isley and wife Virginia of Alamogordo; six grandchildren, Krista and Kara of St. Peter, MN, Bristol and Logan of Austin, Texas, and Garry and Anthony of Alamogordo and a brother, Robert Baird of Phoenix, Ariz.
An observance of Betty's life is planned for early spring at the family home; 6006 South U.S. Highway 54, Alamogordo. Should any friends desire, the family would welcome anyone who would like to come by and visit with Betty and Gil at the family home.
The Isley family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral arrangements. Cremation will take place locally at PCS.
