Bobbie S. Whitehead was born in Cold Water, Louisiana on August 31, 1944 to the late Millard and Lillian Gray Carter. She was brought to Alamogordo as a child in 1951. She attended elementary. Junior high, and high school in Alamogordo.

Bobbie was baptized at the New Zion Baptist Church in 1956 at the age of 12.

She met Humbert Weaver in 1960 and they were married July 23, 1961 and to this union three sons were born. Several years later after her divorce, she met John Whitehead in 1968. They were wed on February 3, 1974 and to this union two sons were born.

Bobbie was employed by AAFES at Holloman Air Force Base as a food service supervisor for many years.

On Friday, December 22, 2017, Bobbie departed this life surrounded by family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband John. Her sons, Eric Weaver, Darin Weaver (Debbie) both of California, Brian Weaver of Alamogordo, and Jefrei Whitehead also of Alamogordo. Her sister Joyce E. Carter of Alamogordo and step-sister Doreatha Carter of California. Sister-in-law Mary Artis (Leroy) of Virginia and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Breon T. Whitehead and several in-laws in Virginia.

The family will greet friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service for Bobbie Whitehead will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 29, 2017 at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Evonne Merrill officiating. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Eric Weaver, Darin Weaver, Brian Weaver, Jefrei Whitehead, Gerren Carter, and Chris Colmenero. Honorary pallbearers are Lenard Turner, Sr., Lenard Turner, Jr., Larry Myles, George Myles, Myron Carter, and Michael Whitmire.

The Whitehead family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
