C. George Boulanger Obituary
C. George Boulanger, 85, of Tularosa, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in Alamogordo.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Bindel Boulanger, and second wife, Josephine Boyce Boulanger.
He is survived by daughter Mary Boulanger (Phil Cook), of Milwaukee; daughter Margaret Hagedorn (Eric), of El Paso; and son John Boulanger, of Falls Church, Va. His six grandchildren who cherish his memory are Phillip Cook and Alex, Robbie, James, Elizabeth and Johnny Hagedorn. He is also survived by his sister Lucille Peloquin, of Worcester, Mass., and nieces and nephews in Massachusetts, Louisiana and Australia.
He will be sorely missed by countless friends in Tularosa and Alamogordo.
Mr. Boulanger was born in Southbridge, Mass., and served in Patton's 3rd Army in Germany in 1945. After joining the United States Air Force he lived near Wichita Falls, Texas, where he met his first wife and started his family. Retirement and civil service employment took the family to El Paso, where they lived for 20 years. His second retirement took him and Agnes to Alamogordo, and then to Tularosa, where he met Josephine and spent his last 19 years.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church, 303 Encino, Tularosa.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church with Father Juan Montoya, O.F.M., as celebrant.
Inurnment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral arrangements. Cremation has taken place at PCS.
