Candelario Quintana "Calalo" Estrada, 90, of Alamogordo, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Estrada was born Jan. 15, 1919, in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Valente Aguirre and Delores (Quintana) Estrada. He moved to Alamogordo in 1967 and worked at the saw mill until his retirement. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son and daughter and his brothers, Lorenzo Estrada and Senaido Estrada.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margarita, of the family home; two daughters, Jesusita Williamson and husband, Willy, and Estefana Maynez and husband, Mario, all of Alamogordo; a son, Jesus Estrada and wife, Martha Amelia, of Los Lunas; nine grandchildren, David Williamson, of Alamogordo, Margarita E. Williamson, of Miami, Irene Estrada, Luz Romero and Jesus Manuel Estrada, all of Albuquerque, Freddy Lopez, Cecilia Lopez, Monique Maynez and Marcos Maynez, of Alamogordo; eight great-grandchildren, David Jr., Reynn, Anysia, Nina, Jonah, Isabela, Emilio and Camryn; three sisters, Maria Noriega, of Alamogordo, Rita Serna, of Eunice, and Estefana Paz, of Ontario, Calif.; and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, in the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel by his daughter-in-law, Martha Amelia Estrada.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bryant Hausfeld, O.F.M., as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Lopez, Marcos Maynez, Jesus Manuel Estrada, David Williamson, Mario Maynez and Willy Williamson.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday before the rosary.
The Estrada family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
