Carol Louise Carlyle

Obituary Condolences

Carol Louise Carlyle, 80, of Alamogordo, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013.
Carol was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Morro Bay, Calif., to Veva and Bert Hanson.
She is survived by King Carlyle, her husband of 51 years and her two children Kevin and Merilee.
Carol had a great love of nature and always welcomed all creatures great and small into her home. She always loved to ride horses and would often take rides in the Sacramento Mountains with her family where a quiet picturesque spot would be found and a picnic would be enjoyed.
Although times were not always financially plentiful, Carol always made the best of difficult situations, never troubling her children with the numerous difficulties involved with too many expenditures and not enough funds. A kinder soul could not be found, particularly in times of sickness, where she would spend hours tending to her children's needs.
Carol was a great cook and her daughter never attempted to compete with the wide variety and complexity of meals that she would prepare on a daily basis.
A true lover of the simple things of life, Carol enjoyed camping, picnicking, horseback riding, walking, playing Scrabble, solving crosswords and watching movies on the television.
She loved New Mexico, and although work required a move out of state, she chose to return to the area after she and King retired. A loving daughter, Carol never forgot the great love she held for her parents. So much so that even in death, Carol will be flown back to Texas to be reunited with her Mom and Dad where they can finally all rest in peace.
