1936 - 2015 Obituary Condolences

Carol was born and raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico as the only child of Harvey "Skeet" Saulsberry and Clara Hunter Saulsberry.

After graduating from Alamogordo High School in 1954, Carol went on to get a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona. She was also a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
After college, Carol lived in Arizona, California, and Oregon. She, along with her husband, returned to live in Alamogordo from 1986 - 1998. They moved back to Oregon to be close to their children and grandchildren. While she and her husband, Stanley Ruckman, lived in Alamogordo they were members of Grace United Methodist Church. Stanley was the Director of Library Services at NMSU-Alamogordo.

Art was an important part of Carol's life and she was a gifted painter. She took many painting classes through NMSU-A.
Carol was a wonderful mother to five children and much loved wife of 36 years.
She will be missed dearly and remembered always.

Survivors include husband, Stanley, two sons, Steven (Lynn), Kenneth (Marlo), three daughters, Patricia, Deborah (Michael), and Laura (Mark), step-daughter, Deborah, two step-sons Tom (Laura), and Neal (Cheryle), and 11 grandchildren.

A private memorial will be held in Oregon and burial will be at Monte Vista Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the or the Oregon Humane Society.
