Carolyn Kay Bunting, 62, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully with her children and sister by her side on April 12, 2017 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born in Tularosa, New Mexico to Walter and Jewel (Rogers) Henley on November 6, 1954. She went to school at Tularosa. She was married to her late husband William Disinger in 1971 and husband Wiley Bunting in 1980. She worked as a house keeper for Inn of the Mountain of Gods for 11 years before she fell ill. She was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and loved ones. There was never a dull moment when our mother was around. Carolyn was preceded in death by her late husband William Disinger, father Walter Henley, mother Jewel Henley, brother Geno Henley, and sister Sharon Ritch.

She is survived by her former husband and father of her children Wiley Bunting of Denison, Texas, Significant other of 20 years Ronnie Stanfill of Tularosa, New Mexico. Children Billie Musgrove of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Bobbie Jo Bailey(Steven Bailey) of Tularosa, New Mexico, and Walter Bunting of Tularosa, New Mexico, Brother Bill (Anna)Henley of Tularosa, New Mexico, Sister Sue Montoya of Gastonia, North Carolina, Sister Tiny (Larry)Johnson of Deming, New Mexico, and brother Cecil(Cyndi) Henley of Tularosa, New Mexico, Grandchildren Alisha (Brandon) Kalinowski of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Tommy Armijo of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Dominique (Patrick)Bourgeois of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Steven Bailey Jr of Tularosa, New Mexico, Scott (Elizabeth) Bailey of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Alyssa and Madison Bailey of Tularosa, New Mexico, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and life-long friends Margaret and Herbie Abney of Tularosa.

A graveside service will be conducted at 9am on Saturday, April 29, 2017 with Pastor Ceasor Chavez of Citilife Church, officiating at Mountain View Cemetery in Deming, New Mexico. A Celebration of life will follow at the Moose Lodge in Deming, New Mexico at 11 am. The family will be gathering at her house in Tularosa at a later time to celebrate her life.
