Cesario Jose Quintana Obituary

Cesario Jose Quintana , 86, passed away on December 26, 2015 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on January 1, 1929 in Arntz, Arizona to Cesareo and Eusebia (Jimenez) Quintana.

Cesario worked at many different occupations during his life. He was a railroad worker for the Southern Union Pacific Railroad, a machine operator for White Sands Forest Products, a truck driver for the City of Alamogordo, a laborer, and a custodian for Alamo Distributing and Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo.

He eventually retired from Southern Union Pacific Railroad and Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center. He taught his children a good work ethic and ensured that all his children received a college education. He was also a musician and entertainer, and played with several local bands in his younger days. He loved to entertain and make people laugh. Cesario was affiliated with the Church of God of North Carolina.

Survivors include his children, Joe S. Quintana and his special friend Manuelita Salgado and her children, Sabrina and Charles of Alamogordo, N.M.; Henry S. Quintana and Lydia Quintana and their daughter, Krysta D'Ann Quintana of Las Cruces, N.M.; Cesario S. Quintana and Mary Quintana and their children, Joshua and Laura Marie of Santa Fe, N.M.; Elizabeth S. Quintana of Alamogordo, N.M.; and Gloria S. Quintana of Santa Fe, N.M.

The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.
The service for Cesario Quintana will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with clergy, Richard Colon and Joe S. Quintana officiating.
Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Joshua Quintana, Krysta Quintana, Sabrina Hernandez, Juan Holguin, Cesario Chayo Quintana, Luis Cortes and Alfonso Cortes. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Salgado, Laura Quintana, Merced Holguin and Angel Quintana.

The Quintana family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
