Concepcion Paul Morales, 56, of Las Cruces, N.M., (formally of Carrizozo) passed away, August 29, 2016, in Las Cruces, N.M. He was born on May 6, 1960, in Carrizozo, N.M. He graduated with degree in Auto Mechanics Engineering from Western Technical Institute in El Paso. He married Sandra Tawney on Sept. 28, 1985, and moved to Las Cruces in January of 1986. Paul, as he was known to by family and friends, was an auto mechanic and had his own shop while living in Las Cruces, known as the Shade Tree Auto Repair.

He enjoyed taking his wife out, making his rounds to all the casinos with his mom- he was his mom's sidekick, loved being with his grandchildren, enjoyed every single moment with family, riding on the carts in Walmart with his grandchildren, listening to classic rock music, and watching action packed movies. He had a passion for making model cars, planes, rockets, and he even built a miniature semi-truck. Paul had a true heart of gold and a compassion for people especially his family; you would always catch him with a smile on his face. He was an amazing dad and an awesome grandfather. Concepcion will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Tawney Morales; sons, Robert (Lena) Morales of Carrizozo and Paul (Clarissa) Morales of Las Cruces; daughters, Corina (Zack) Morales of Las Cruces, Alicia (Bud) Hammond of Alamogordo, and Kristin (Mike) Tawney of Las Cruces; his mother, Connie Morales of Carrizozo; brothers, Johnnie Morales of Carrizozo, David Morales of Cloudcroft, Peter Morales of Carrizozo, and Danny Morales of Las Cruces; sister, Cynthia (Billy) Durham of Artesia; and 13 grandchildren.
