Corey Allen, 28, of Alamogordo, passed away October 27, 2008, in Alamogordo. Corey was born March 3, 1980, in El paso, Texas, and was the only child of David Mace and Penny Calkin. He was a very loving husband, son, grandson, nephew and friend.
Corey lived most of his life in Seattle, Washington, where he made many friends and found his love and wife Onya Lambert. He always had a willingness to please with a most tender heart. Corey gave his goodness and love to so many people through out his brief life. Corey was smart, sincere, loving, hard working and honest. His warm smile would light up a room and would always comfort those in need.
Corey had so many special qualities and a great love for the outdoors where he would study and name critters and animals large and small. He also enjoyed fishing, hiking, biking, snowboarding, skateboarding and dancing to name a few.
Corey, you are so very special and will be missed by your family and friends. You are truly a gift from God and we were so blessed to have been touched by your love and beautiful spirit.
Corey is survived by a large, loving family. His wife Onya Lambert of Alamogordo; Father, David Mace of Damon, Texas; Mother, Penny Calkin and step father Michael of Alamogordo; Grandmother Maggie Sloan and grandparents Richard and Nancy Keith; Great Grandmother Frances Keith (99 years old); Uncles Robert and David Keith; Aunt Kellie Oliver; Cousins Brady, Jason, Zachary, Shelby, Joshua, Austin, Steven and Amanda Keith, Benjamin, Richard, Daniel and Bradley Oliver.
A memorial service to honor Corey's life will be celebrated Monday, November 3, 2008, at the Hamilton-O'Dell Chapel with Pastor Chris Weis officiating.
