David L. Edwards Obituary
David L. Edwards, 77, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; three daughters, Brenda (Charles) Larse, Lorna Giannatti and Julia Albright; son Mark (Renee) Edwards; brother Gary; and sisters Janice (John) Curran and Debbie (Larry) Konstent.
He also has eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
David was a traveling man. He worked 20 years in Rockford, Ill., as a precision machinist and he spent time working in a supervisory position on the original space shuttle. He spent time in Wisconsin at his farm for four years, then moved to Tempe, Ariz., and worked at a variety of different jobs. After retirement, he was a member of the Elks Club in Arizona and inducted the first deaf-mute person using sign language.
He then moved to New Mexico and worked part-time at a humane society and for a special needs company. He was in New Mexico for the last 12 years of his life. He made friends wherever he went that stayed with him always.
He was very big-hearted, friendly and family oriented. He loved hunting and being outdoors and made numerous trips "out west" with his hunting partners. Other than family, cars and dogs were his primary love.
We will always love him and are very thankful he is with the Lord.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Our Savior's Luthern Church, 407 E. Center St., South Wayne, Wis., by the Rev. Danny Perger. A luncheon will follow the service.
Memorial contributions can be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 14066 W Waddell, Surprise, AZ 85379-8736.
