Donald Ray Clark Obituary
Donald Ray Clark, 68, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. He was born July 23, 1943, in Johnson City, N.Y.
He served honorably in the Air Force, serving with the Military Airlift Command. He was attached to the U.S. Army Special Forces while serving in Vietnam.
He married Donna Standard in 1966. They moved from New York to Alamogordo with their three children in 1977. Through hard work and dedication they started and operated two successful businesses, Clark Builders and Clark's Family Restaurant. He enjoyed his morning coffee with many friends throughout the years. He was an active member of Alamogordo for 35 years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. Don was proud to be awarded the Golf Sportsmanship and Community Contribution Award for assistance with the Alamogordo Junior Golf Association. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Don and Donna spent the last seven years traveling the U.S. in their motor home.
He is survived by his bride of 45 years, Donna; four children, son Andrew Clark and wife, Toni, of Colorado, daughter Vickie Clark, of Alamogordo, son Philip Clark and wife, Monique, of Albuquerque, and daughter Pamela McAlister and husband, Todd, of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Richard Osiecki, Rylee Clark, Lindsey McAlister, Kevin Clark, Alena Clark, Drake McAlister, Reese Osiecki and Mitchell Clark; brothers John, Alan and Terry and sister Joan, from the East Coast; many in-laws and lots of close friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Henry.
Memorial services for Don will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Elks Lodge located on Hamilton Road in Alamogordo.

The Clark family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
