The Turri family moved to Carlsbad when she was 14 years of age , so that her father could work in the potash mines. On Aug. 6, 1949, she was married to Earl Lamb. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. They made their home in Carlsbad until the early 1950s when they moved to Alamogordo where her husband served as pastor. She cooked for countless funerals and church dinners, as well as entertaining and feeding her family of seven children. Mrs. Lamb baked pies endlessly to raise money for missions. She loved to sew and crochet and do scrapbooks. Mrs. Lamb was very musically inclined . She played the piano and the accordion. She had a special knack for keeping track of everyone's birthdays and anniversaries, and she faithfully sent greeting cards and encouraging notes.

She is survived by Earl, her husband of more than 64 years of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Socorro Lamb of Grand Prairie, Texas, Daniel and Ninfa Lamb of Lovington, Michael and Martha Lamb of Portales; four daughters and sons-in-law, Jo-Ann and Jim Martz of Reed City, Mich., Earlene and Dan Shayotovich of Emery, S.D., Deborah and Robert Aukerman of South Windsor, Conn., and Sharon and Mark Bennett of Tokyo, Japan; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna Smith of Carlsbad; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
