Edgar Manson Nash Jr. Obituary
Edgar Manson Nash Jr., 92, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, after battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born June 16, 1920, in Hilo, Hawaii.
He fought in World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard. He invented an item for the steel industry in the 1950s. He was a broker who dealt with farming for the next 30 to 40 years.
Ed also wrote seven books within the past 10 years. He was part of the Oliver North War Stories in 2004. He was featured in "Who's Who in 2008."
He was a loving and incredible father and a wonderful and caring husband. He adored his grandson and loved his son-in-law greatly.
He married his wife, Rae E. Nash, in Carmel, Calif., in 1971.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rae; daughter Lesley Ledbetter; son-in-law Warren W. Ledbetter; and grandson Joseph M. Ledbetter.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1316 Scenic Drive. There will be a reception following the service.
