Edward Armando "Mando" Maese

Obituary Condolences

Edward Armando "Mando" Maese, 67, went home with the Lord Dec. 21, 2007, after a long battle with lung disease. He passed on the same day the Lord sent him to us.
Mando was born in El Paso, Texas. He had a heart of gold and he was a man of integrity. He loved children and enjoyed spending time with his only grandson, Anthony. He loved to cook and bake and was an avid gardener.
Beginning in 1958, he served in the Navy as a fireman for two years. After his discharge, he moved to the harbor area were he met his beloved wife, Julia.
For 33 years he worked for Griffith Construction Company and was a member of the Local 300 laborers union.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Julia; two children, Eddie and Felicia, and one grandson, who was the love of his life.
He had two sisters and one brother, Betty and Louis Lucero and family; Cecilia Maese and family, and Peter Maese and wife Cheri and their two sons.
He is also survived by his father Edward and was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margarieta.
Mando was deeply loved and respected not only by his family but anyone that knew him. He will be sorely missed.
We know he is in a better place and know that our savior welcomed him with open arms.
