Enid Mary McClintock
The family of Enid Mary McClintock invites friends and neighbors to attend a celebration of her life at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2010. A memorial service will be followed by interment of ashes at Monte Vista Cemetery.
Mrs. McClintock was born Jan. 4, 1919, in England the only child of Sidney Roberts and Nora Mary Bessant. She served in the Womans' Royal Air Force during World War II, and endured the German blitz of London. During her military service, she met and married an American soldier, Irvin Roberts McClintock.
The McClintocks made Alamogordo their home for more than 50 years.
Mrs. McClintock was active in volunteer activities throughout her life, with special devotion to the animal shelter, the Desert Arts League and the Alamogordo Public Library, for whom she volunteered for more than 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army or the Alamogordo Public Library.
