Epigmenia M (Marquez) Valenzuela Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Epigmenia M. Valenzuela, 89, of Las Cruces, left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 23, 1924, in Colotlán, Jalisco, Mexico, to Leonardo and Amado Romero Marquez. Epigmenia worked as a garment cleaner and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Those left to mourn her passing include her very special daughter Guadalupe V. Aragon, of Doña Ana; a brother Augustin Marquez, of La Mesa. Other survivors include four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Guerrero G. Valenzuela, in 2010.
Visitation for Mrs. Valenzuela will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey, in Doña Ana, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. The Holy Mass of Resurrection will follow immediately thereafter with Reverend Narciso Rivera officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Doña Ana Cemetery where she will lay to rest alongside her husband.
Serving as casket bearers will be Andrew Aragon, Joel Apodaca, Jimmy Silva, Laurencio Torres, Daniel and David Valenzuela.
