Fannie S. Perry Shannon Obituary
On Dec. 20, 2011, Fannie S. Perry Shannon won her battle against cancer by never allowing it to steal her zest for life. She and her husband, Tim, spent her last two months filled with companionship and adventure. She was born on Jan. 4, 1960, in Roswell to Samuel and Juanita Perry.
She is survived by her best friend and husband, Tim Shannon, at the home they built together in La Luz. She is also survived by her son, Donovan Perry (Amanda), of Artesia; daughters Hannah Robertson (Mike), of Roswell, Ayesha Kennon (companion Jesse), of Alamogordo; son Roger Ramsey Jr. (Jen), of Fresno, Calif.; stepdaughter Briana Shannon, of Las Cruces; nine granddaughters; and four grandsons. Fannie is also survived by her siblings, Samuel Perry Jr., of Roswell, Jackie Perry, of Big Springs, Texas, Leora Douglass, of Alamogordo, Debbie Ward, of Roswell, Allen Perry, of Roswell, and Andy Perry, of Roswell; and several nieces, nephews, and friends that she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Samuel L. Perry, her mom, Juanita R. Perry, her brother, Thomas Perry, her sister, Billie Raikakos, and by her best friend Teresa Cox.
A memorial celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.
Should friends or family desire, donations can be made in her name at Wells Fargo to assist with medical costs.
