Faustina "China" Aguilar Obituary
Faustina "China" Aguilar, 92, born June 6, 1919, in Alamogordo, passed away peacefully as the angels stood over her bed guarding her every breath. Her journey on this earth came to an end Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family.
China brought us joy, laughter and the desire to dance. She loved music, singing and dancing.
"Raise the Roof."
Her nephews and nieces loved her very much and we will miss her smile and laughter. She was a forgiving and loving aunt who we all admired and loved. We all shed many tears when God sent his loving angels for our beloved China. We know that you are in heaven with our lord and savior. The Bible tells us that we should "rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven." Godspeed for your reward awaits you.
China was preceded in death by her mother Teresa Aguilar; her brother Richard Aguilar; and her sisters Teresa Diaz, Juanita Gonzales and Isabel Villa. She was the last of her great generation.
She leaves behind her nieces Sofia Ledesma and Rachel Gallegos, both of Alamogordo, and Juanita Adkison, of Phoenix; and nephews Thomas and Juan Gallegos, of Alamogordo. She is also survived by many, many great-nephews and nieces.
Our hearts are broken, but we know China is rejoicing in heaven.
Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Gallegos, Crystal Gallegos, Carlos Rey, David Torres, Frank Sieler, Chris Najar, Eddie Najar and Elias Ledesma.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Gallegos, Anthony Najar, Paul Chavez, Anita Ray, Lisa Chavez, Melissa Ledesma, Tomas Torres and Jeremy Paz.
Pastor Billy Tucker will officiate church services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Primera Iglesia Baptista, 1711 Ocotillo Drive. There will be a time for visitation and viewing at Alamogordo Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012.
Adios, China de los ojos negros.
