Fidel Trujillo

1928 - 2014 Obituary Condolences

On Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, we lost a great man, Fidel Benevidez Trujillo, 86, of Alamogordo.

He was born March 20, 1928, in Hollywood N.M. to Fidel Archiveque Trujillo and Apolonia Madrid Benevidez. He was one of 14 siblings.
Fidel was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served our great country during World War II. He retired from Holloman Air Force Base Civil Service in 1988. Fidel was a hard worker and a selfless man. Whether it was lending a tool, sharing his talent for fixing a vehicle or machine, giving someone a ride or lending a few dollars, he was always willing to help or share whenever he could.
Fidel loved his family, always.

He is survived by his loving children: daughter Dolores (Cameron) Stern of Alamogordo; son Arthur (Yvonne) Trujillo of Alamogordo; son Martin Trujillo of Las Cruces. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Rosalinda (Scott) Visnicky of Oviedo, Fla.; Cameron Stern Jr. of El Paso, Texas; Beatrice Hill of Alamogordo, and Elizabeth Trujillo of Las Cruces; his great-grandchildren: Stephen Visnicky and Isaiah Saucedo; siblings, Stella Baca of Ruidoso Downs, Lucile Rodriguez of Alamogordo, and Pricilla Wilson of Tularosa -- along with several nieces and nephews and numerous extended family, including Chris Pietz, Scott, Allen and Samantha Allison, Conner Martinez, Samantha and Jason Daniels.

The Rosary will be recited by Tony Garcia at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 10 a.m., with Deacon Pete Schumacher officiating.
Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery where Fidel will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Rosa Viscarra Trujillo.
A potluck reception will be held after the burial from 12 - 2 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 700 US Highway 70 West, Alamogordo.
Those serving as pallbearers are Cameron Stern, Jr., Chad Rodriguez, Ryan Rodriguez, Michael Swanson, Conner Martinez and Cameron Allison.

The Trujillo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
