Floyd William "Bill" Hornback Jr. Obituary
Floyd William "Bill" Hornback Jr., 70, of Tularosa, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born March 12, 1941, in Hayti, Mo., to Floyd and Willie Hornback.
Bill retired from the Air Force in 1983, then spent 20 years as a jeweler. He was a firefighter with Jackrabbit Flats Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed life, gardening, working on old sewing machines and quilting. He will be missed by all who got to know and love him.
Bill is survived by wife Shirley Shipton; two brothers, Jimmy Dean and Herbert Lyn; two sisters, Javada Gaye and Dinah Sue; two daughters, Ella Duckworth and Lisa Leifeste; two sons, William and Floyd; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation took place at PCS and there will be no services per his request.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
