Obituary Condolences

Frances K. Dybowski, 97, of Alamogordo, passed away, Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at the Beehive Homes.
Mrs. Dybowski was born Oct. 12, 1911, in Brenham, Texas, to Wallace and Mary (Tax) Kasprowicz. 
She was a member of St. Jude Mission. She was an honor graduate from the University of Texas School of Journalism. She taught high school and elementary school in Galveston, Texas, and volunteered at Father James B. Hay School in Alamogordo. She was a journalist with the Galveston Daily News and was a member of the Theta Sigma Phi honorary and professional journalism fraternity for women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebastian Albert Dybowski in 1990 and her brother, Lawrence W. Kasprowicz in 2003.
She is survived by her son, Sebastian Albert Dybowski Jr., known as Brother Brian, FSC, of Santa Fe; a daughter, Mary Anne Kassler and her husband, Gerald, of Alamogordo; four grandchildren, Brian Kassler and his wife, Amanda of San Antonio, Texas, Christopher Kassler and his wife, Wendy, of Silverdale, Wash., Lauren Neale and her husband, Scott, of Wylie, Texas, and Geoffrey Kassler and his wife, Susan, of Anchorage, Alaska; and a great grandson, Jacob Neale of Wylie, Texas.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel by The Rosary Society.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at St. Jude Mission with Father Wayne Herpin, S.J., Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Brian Kassler, Chris Kassler, Geoff Kassler, Scott Neale, Claude Hampton and William E. Tacquard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christian Brothers Community, c/o Bro. George Hetzel; 96 Siringo Rd.; Santa Fe, NM 87505 or Father James B. Hay Catholic School; 1000 E 8th St.; Alamogordo, NM 88310.
The Dybowski family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
