Frances Louise Stubblefield Obituary
Frances Louise Stubblefield passed away peacefully at home with her family Monday, April 23, 2012, in Tularosa. Frances was born in Kingman, Ariz. on Jan. 11, 1932, to Frank and Alice Ricca.
Frances was a loving and devoted wife to Douglas for 63 years. They were married Aug. 15, 1948, in Phoenix and settled in Tularosa in 1992.
Frances is survived by her loving husband, Douglas; four adoring daughters, Sandra Stubblefield of Albuquerque, Lynne Hawkins of Tulsa, Okla., Susan Reynolds of Cibolo, Texas and Marsha Stubblefield of Tularosa.
She was always a dedicated grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Claudia Carson of Castro Valley, Calif. and Alice Bryan of Dallas. Her family also includes many nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Frank Ricca and her younger brother, Charles Ricca.
Frances was a devoted mother, grandma and great-grandma. She was a bright light to all who knew her. She touched so many lives with her energetic spirit, optimism, and kindness. Frances will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012, at Monte Vista Cemetery, 1590 First Street in Alamogordo.
The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First St in Alamogordo.
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in Frances's name to Alamogordo Home Care and Hospice, located at 1859 Indian Wells Road.
The Stubblefield family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
