Frank Cano Obituary
After 25 years of battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Frank has been lifted up to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He passed on, at his home with his loving wife, step father, and all his children by his side.

He was born on April 4th, 1945 in Alamogordo NM to Mary O. Sandoval and Tiodoso G. Cano.

He is survived by his step father Edward J. Meyer of Alamogordo NM, his wife of 51 years Geraldine (Geri) Cano, of Alamogordo NM, sister-n-law Adelina (Nina) Cano, of Alamogordo NM, Aunts, Ruth Chanez, of Seattle WA and Jane Hybers, of Alamogordo NM, and an Uncle, Bobby Sisneros. His children include Edward J. Cano, of Alamogordo NM, John J. Cano and his wife Colleen, of Las Cruces NM, Debra Southwick (Cano) and her husband David, of Las Cruces NM, Tammy Underwood (Cano) of Alamogordo NM, Sixteen beautiful grandchildren and three precious great grand babies and numerous nieces and nephew's.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tiodoso G. Cano, mother, Mary O. Meyer (Sandoval), his brother Ted Cano Jr., and sister Mary R. Simpkin.

Frank served his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his honest and faithful service with the Army, he went on to work Federal Civil Service at White Sands Missile Range as an Electronic Equipment Specialist. He was also President of the Hispanic Employment Program of Holloman AFB NM. He had a love for for learning, completing numerous training courses with his job. In 1993 he was diagnosed with MS leading to his retirement in March of 1998.

Camping, fishing and hiking were among some of his favorite memories, however the love of his family and friends surpassed all else. He will be deeply missed.

There will be a Rosary and Mass in his honor, both services will be held at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church in La Luz NM. The Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 8th, 2018. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 9th, 2018. Following the mass and burial we will meet for a reception to celebrate Frank's life at the Old La Luz School Gym in La Luz.

The Cano family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
