Frank E Greenough Obituary
Frank E Greenough, 71, passed away on January 31, 2018 in Alamogordo, NM surrounded by family. He was born May 21, 1946 in Worchester, MA.

Frank served his country in the U.S. Air Force for more than 26 years retiring as a MSgt. During his military service, Frank was a decorated war veteran serving in Korea, Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. His biggest honor, throughout his military career, was taking care of his troops as a First Sergeant.

Frank married the love of his life, Dagmar Heidi Greenough, in 1967. During their life together they raised three boys, spoiled their grandchildren and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Frank loved nothing more than spending time with his family and supporting his children and grandchildren in their ventures.

During Frank's life, he assumed many roles and fulfilled those roles with great satisfaction. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, friend, idol, counselor and mentor. Frank had compassion for not only those he loved, but also those he barely knew.

In addition to his family, Frank took great pride in the military and being an American. Frank's biggest leisure time activity was supporting his Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Frank was preceded in death by his father Robert Carroll, mother Gloria Carroll and mother-in-law Betty Mallory.

Frank is survived by his wife Heidi, sons Frank Jr. (Carla), Ken (Jennifer) and Rob (Kathy), five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In honor of Frank's wishes, no public services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, any contributions are asked to be made in honor of Frank to the Fisher House at

The Greenough family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
