Frank G. Adler Obituary

Frank G. Adler, 88, died at his home in Alamogordo on Tuesday August 4, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born April 2, 1927 in Ancho, N.M. and was raised in Carrizozo, N.M. He married Mary L. Otero in 1956.

He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1944 and upon leaving the service was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for many years and moved to Alamogordo where he worked as a civilian at the Test Track at Holloman AFB, N.M., retiring in 1969.

Frank is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; sons Frank Adler, Jr. and Nathan R. Adler of Alamogordo; and daughter Sylvia M. Adler of Alamogordo; grandchildren, Crystal Adler-Griffin of Abilene, Texas, Ashli Adler of Alamogordo, and Brittni Gonzales-Lessau of Las Cruces; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Elfida Adler, Carrizozo; sister, Maria Sandoval, Alamogordo; brothers, Pete Adler, Carrizozo; Dan Adler, California; and Tony Adler, Albuquerque.

In keeping with his wishes, only a memorial reception will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge located at 2290 Hamilton Road, Alamogordo.

A private burial will be held for his immediate family at a later date.
