Gari Beth (Beckett) Pruiett Obituary

On October 18, 2016, our sweet Gari was called to walk in paradise by her Heavenly Father. Gari was born June 24, 1958, to William and Catherine (Wooten) Beckett in Deming, New Mexico.

Gari is survived by her two sons, Levi Pruiett of Alamogordo and Brent Pruiett of Rankin, Texas; brothers, Bill Beckett and Mike (wife Joyce) Beckett; and sister, Ann Horton. Other family members include, William Pruiett, Joyce LaNelva Pruiett and Gary Ray Pruiett.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Becky Ortiz; sisters-in-law, Sharyl Beckett and Doris Beckett; brother-in-law, Lloyd Horton; and niece, Heather Rivera.

Gari graduated high school in Deming and received her BA in Education at Western NM University in Silver City. One of her proud accomplishments was home schooling her sons. Later interests were in the field of law where she worked with wonderful people (friends) and was currently working for Attorney Mark Whorton.

Gari had a passion for the outdoors. She loved walking in the mountains (with her dog Chewey) enjoying all aspects of nature. She was a member of the Church of Christ and loved her religious study and worship with her family, and brothers and sisters in Christ. She was so proud of the Godly men her boys grew up to be. God blessed Gari with many wonderful friends who will remember and miss her laughter and bubbly ways.
