Gary Stephen Corday, 51, unexpectedly passed away March 14, 2008. He was born Aug. 11, 1956 to Saul and Rose Corday. He attended public schools in Otero County. In the fall of 1970, the family moved to Warner Robins, Ga. Gary graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1974.
He attended Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., majoring in rehabilitation services, receiving undergraduate and master's degrees. He started his professional career working for The Happy Hour School in Warner Robins, Ga., as a disability counselor. For the next 24 years, he worked for the state of Georgia as a vocational coordinator in Warm Springs, Ga.
Gary was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he served in a number of capacities, including president of the youth department. He was dedicated to his church and supported the new addition to Christ United Methodist Church.
His family includes his parents, Saul and Rose Corday, of Warner Robins; brother Bernard Corday, of Seattle, Wash.; uncles and aunts Tony, Albert, Delores and Kay; and many cousins in New Mexico, California, Arizona, Colorado and Florida.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088
