My mom and dad moved here from Henderson, Ky., for retirement. After being here a short time they realized retirement was not for them. They purchased Mountain View Cleaners in the Granada Center where Gene was the owner/operator until his retirement in 2001. The dry cleaning business was his calling from the early age of 18 to 71 years old. He started in the dry cleaning business in Mayfield, Ky., and went on to Hopkinsville, Ky., then to Henderson, Ky., and finally to Alamogordo.
Dad, you were a good provider, husband, father and papaw. We all will miss those big blue eyes and your contagious laugh.
Dad, go be with Mom, the love of your life.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
