July 4, 1943 to Aug. 13, 2008
George was born and raised in Chicago. At the age of 17 he joined the Marines. During his service he won many citations including sharpshooter. After completing his service George joined the Chicago Police Department. Eventually becoming a member of a task force for drug enforcement and worked undercover. He earned many citations for his work and from foreign governments for training their officers.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Millie Kenyon, a daughter Christine and granddaughter Ariel. He also leaves behind many dear friends. George also made a contribution to the community by serving with the Moose Lodge for eight years, serving on committees and chairing others. Elks, Noon Lion's and was a Mason.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial and reception will be held at the Moose Lodge Sunday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. For further information, call Dora Romeyn at 446-1742.
