Gloria Grace Bonnett-Brown Obituary
Gloria Grace Bonnett-Brown, of Alamogordo has gone to be with her lord and savior on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the young age of 74.
Waiting at the gates of heaven is her father John W. Bonnet; mother Doris Wade; brother John E. Bonnett; sisters Vesta Trembly and Ellen Arnold; son Mike Brown, stepsons Gene Brown and Steve Brown; grandson Denver Maples; and stepgrandson Terry Brown.
Gloria is survived by her husband, D.K. Brown; brother Bill Bonnett; stepson Mark Brown; daughters Stella Goodwin, Mellany Sellers, Darla Phillips and Carla Heckert; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Gloria shared her love by bringing a smile to people's faces and taking many people under her wing as if they were her own. She shared her talents with all and was known for her beautiful oil paintings, award winning jellies, good old-fashion home cooking and her delicious homemade pies. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Gloria's family would like to thank Dr. Korec and his staff at the Otero Cancer Center for all their support, compassion and love. She looked forward to her visits and loved them all.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Monte Vista Cemetery on First Street. Immediately afterwards, a memorial service will be held at the Wesley Methodist Church, 101 Dale Scott Ave., Alamogordo.
The Brown family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
