Guadalupe "Lou" Salazar Obituary

Guadalupe "Lou" Salazar, age 61, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center.

Lou was born in Tularosa, New Mexico, to the late Fredrico Salazar and Tonita Mendoza Salazar. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Fred and Joe, and one sister, Susie.

Mr. Salazar served for 22 years in the U.S. Army, including being a part of Operation Provide Comfort as well as serving during the Gulf War.

Graveside service was held Friday, May 22, at 11 a.m., at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - West, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, with Rev. Al Seui officiating.

Lou is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shelia Salazar; three sons, Daniel, Chris and Nick; one daughter, Annette; two brothers, Jerry and Pete; four sisters, Lydia, Rosemary, Susie and Mary; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Military personnel will serve as pallbearers.
