Mr. Fuller was born May 26, 1940, in Pine Valley, Okla., to John Henry and Cora (Essman) Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Blanche Irene Draper, Irma Lee Atkins and her husband, Charley, and Dorothy Juanita Brewer; brothers Haril "Bud" Fuller and Kenneth Fuller; a stepdaughter, Evelyn Andersen Alexander; his first wife, Virginia Foster Fuller; and mother-in-law Theo B. Adams.
Harold is survived by his wife, Peggy Adams Andersen Fuller, of the family home; sons Pete T. Fuller, of Rock Springs, Wyo., and William Stacey and his wife, of Canaan, Vt.; stepsons Richard Andersen, of Magalia, Calif., and Robert Andersen and his wife, Sandy, of Napa, Calif.; daughters LaDonna Lambarena and her husband, Francisco, Elizabeth Fuller, Gail Echels and her husband, Jerod, all of Porterville, Calif; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Clotha and her husband, Jesse Hudman, of Alamogordo, who raised him after the death of his mother; brother Jimmy Fuller, of Porterville; special nieces, raised as his sisters, Viola Hudman Martin and her husband, Harold, Janet Hudman Derrick and her husband, Donald, and Wanda Hudman Shockey and her husband, "Pete," who has preceded her in death; numerous nieces and nephews scattered from California to Arkansas; and sisters-in-law Edna Fuller and Carolyn Fuller.
Also surviving are children that should have been theirs, Tim and Kim Urr, of Alaska, Linda and Jimmy Nyberg, and Nikki and Matt Williams, all of Colorado; dear friends Jackie and Denny, George and Carmen, Barry and Doreen of Alaska; also dear friends Kay Gorby and sons Cory and his wife, Poco, Allen and his wife, Tracy, Barbara McCall, Gordon and Peggy Blanchard, John and Cathy Jenkins, Jeff and Cathy Gillen, Glenn and LaVonne Davis; and all boat salesmen from Alamogordo to Alaska.
Harold was happiest when he was hauling in a halibut or salmon, telling tall tales (some folks called them outright lies). When he came back to port, the fish got a lot bigger. Harold was blessed because of all his traveling and being able to see his children and family. Our son Robert made a lot of his traveling, fishing and hunting special.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at First Assembly Worship Center with Pastor David Crispin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray expenses. An account has been established at Bank 34.
The Fuller family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place locally at PCS.
