Honey Sheppard Obituary
Honey Sheppard, 93, a lifelong resident of Alamogordo, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, in Alamogordo.
Honey was born April 8, 1917, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Boyd and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Kaylor. She was very active, loved to play bingo and enjoyed helping others by volunteering her time helping work voting booths for many years.
She was a faithful member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she had many friends. Honey was a loving mother to all who knew her and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her brother Michael T. Kaylor and his friend, Peggy, both of Alamogordo; Godmother Tami Kudo and her longtime friend, Paul Boyette; several nieces and nephews in the California area; and her dog Bingo, who will be lost without her.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, located at 471 24th St. in Alamogordo, with Fred Guitterrez officiating.
Honey's family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Alamogordo Funeral Home to handle service arrangements.
