Hubert Paul Koesters Obituary
Hubert Paul Koesters, was born on March 23, 1925 and passed away on March 6, 2016.

He was a lifetime and faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church and parishioner of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Las Cruces. Hubert was born in Philothea, Ohio and lived the past 52 years of his life in Alamogordo, N.M., and Las Cruces, N.M.

He served in World War II in the Army Infantry. Upon returning to the US, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton (OH). In 1953, he married Mary Joan Schepers who he was married to for 47 years and raised 5 children.
Before settling in New Mexico, he worked a number of jobs which required him to live in many locations around the country as well as Okinawa, and Germany working as a field service engineer. The final 24 years of his career was spent working with the USAF Systems Command Central Inertial Guidance Test Facility (CIGTF) at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo, NM as Chief of CIGTF's Test Management Branch.

Hubert was an avid golfer and member of the Alamogordo Country Club where he served as President. He continued his love for the game with his buddies (The Bandits) at the Picacho Hills Country Club for 20 years.

Hubert was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Joan, by son Michael.

He is survived by his children; Daniel, Las Cruces, N.M., James; Grapevine, Texas; Suzanne, Las Cruces, N.M.; and Patricia, Henderson, Nev.; daughter-in-law Brenda Koesters, Grapevine, Texas; and son-in-law Robert Oberembt, Henderson, Nev.. He also has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews in the Dayton/Cincinnati area.

Funeral services will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Las Cruces on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 12:30 p.m.
