Isabel "Bella" Killingbeck Obituary
Beloved and devoted mother and grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully with her family at her side on April 10, 2017 in Rio Ranch, NM. She was born in Carrizozo, NM on May 5th, 1923. She was a decedent of the Spanish settlers that came down from the Manzano mountains and settled in "Patos" and "Reventon", a small settlement around the White Oaks area.

Her parents were Jose Candelaria and Manuelita Lueras Candelaria. She met her husband Walter Killingbeck in the 60's and later married in 1975. She was a beautiful woman with a warm smile and witty way, always joking. She was Catholic and member of the St. Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo, NM. She enjoyed socializing with friends and relatives. She made a lot of true friends over the years, especially because she enjoyed going to bingo in Alamogordo at the Eagles and going to the Senior Center and working on puzzles and socializing with her friends. She loved going to all her grand kids games at school. She loved her family, brothers, sisters and all her grand kids and great-grand kids and friends.

Bella was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Barela Sr., her brothers Llyod, Tito and Joe Candelaria Jr.

She is survived by her husband Walter Killingbeck, two sisters, Juanita Black of Deerfield, KS and Lupita Brewer of Killeen, TX, her four daughters, Virginia Carabajal (Manuel) of Carrizozo, NM, Irene Otero (Gabriel) of Alamogordo, NM, Josephine Barela of Carrizozo, NM, Marie Griego (Paul) of Albuquerque, NM, daughter in law Sissy Barela of Carrizozo, NM, sons Gilbert Barela (Gwen) of Carrizozo, NM, Marcos Barela Jr., of Carrizozo, NM, great-grand-children and great-great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at St. Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo, NM at 10:00 am on April 18, 2017. Followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Carrizozo, NM.
