Jack Thomason Obituary
Jack Stanley Thomason, 59, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in Cloudcroft. He was born on March 5, 1950, in Rayville, La., to Ernest Webb and Mary Jo Weathers.
Jack served his country in the Vietnam War. He lived in many places during his lifetime, including Erlangen, Germany, where he met and married the love of his life, Christa. They started their family in Germany, where their daughters Charman and Melissa were born.
Shortly after, they moved their family to the United States and had their third daughter, Mary Jo.
Eventually, they made there home in Mayhill. He loved spending time in his yard, tending to his garden and fruit trees. He was a master carpenter and mechanic. There was nothing too big to build or too difficult to fix. Jack's favorite hobby was fishing. He loved the challenge of trying to hook the "big one."
He is survived by his wife, Christa Thomason; three daughters and their spouses: Melissa Thomason and Brad Jones, Charman and Alex Lopez, and Mary Jo and Billy Cook; eight grandchildren; his parents; and many brothers and sisters.
Friends and family will gather to honor his life from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Alamogordo Funeral Home.
The Thomason family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place locally at PCS.
