Jacky Warren Webb, 57, of Alamogordo, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at 2:22 p.m. at William Beaumont Medical Center, El Paso, as he finally succumbed to a long-term illness.
Jack was born July 29, 1953, in Pasadena, Texas, as the seventh child of 10 total children born of Selma and Leona Webb. After graduating high school in Alamogordo in 1971, he quickly enlisted in the United States Army. While serving his country, Jack obtained numerous medals, including the Army Commendation Medal, and successfully faced combat in Panama. He lived out his remaining years as a proud veteran of the country he held so deep to his heart.
Jack is survived by his six children: David Webb and wife, Kim, of Friendswood, Texas; Stephen Webb and wife, Stephanie, of League City, Texas; Tiffany Webb, of Pearland, Texas; Kristina Webb, of Houston; Jason Webb, of Alamogordo; and Derrica Jackson and husband, Randolph, of Alamogordo. Jack is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jordan, Natalie, Logan, Collin, Dashawn, Damian and Cory. He held all his children and grandchildren very dear to his heart and they were his impetus for recovery during his long-term illness. Jack will be loved, honored and remembered by his entire family.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo, with military honors being provided by the United States Army. The family will receive family and friends after the service at the home of Sherry Houston.
The Webb family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
