Jacqueline Ann Armstrong Obituary

Jacqueline Ann Armstrong, 76, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, August 8, 2015 at her home, surrounded by family in Alamogordo, N.M.

She was born January 2, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Melville E. Kirk and Dorothy W. Kirk, who have preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her brother Charles (Gus) Kirk and her husband of 42 years Lt. Col. Henry W. Armstrong, USAF.

Armstrong is survived by a brother Marshall A. Kirk of Lansing Michigan, her two Sons, Kirk R. Armstrong of Corinth, Texas and Ryan W. Armstrong of Lewisville, Texas. Jacque was also very fond of her five grandchildren, Audrey, Karley, Christian, Caroline and Logan.

Mrs. Armstrong lived a rich, full life with the past four decades in Alamogordo, where she was involved in everything from La Sertoma Clubs, to the NMSU Scholarship programs with the Women's Quilting Guild, to owning her own business as an accomplished Dog Agility & Obedience Trainer with K-9 Kingdom and Agility. Jacque spent a great deal of her time in AKC Dog competitions winning many titles & awards with her dogs, Frank, Lucy, Tanner, Britt and Mack.

A former career Air Force Officers wife, Mrs. Armstrong was an accomplished quilter, even representing the State of New Mexico in the Statue of Liberty Museum in New York City. She was an accomplished business woman owning her Dog Boarding and Training business since 2002. Jacque was also very active in MOAA at Holloman AFB and been President of La Sertoma Club Women's of Alamogordo and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church on Washington Avenue.

There will be a Memorial Service at "Our Savior Lutheran Church" at 1212 Washington Avenue in Alamogordo at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 12th. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the "Animal Rescue Mission," 19 Acoma Avenue, Alamogordo, N.M. 88310. Contact (575) 443-1617 for more information.
