Jeffrey (Jeff) L. Coburn Obituary
Jeffrey (Jeff) L. Coburn, 56, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 14th 2017. Jeff was born on July 11th 1961 in Tucson, Arizona to Robert M. Coburn and Patricia R. Coburn (Hantz).

Jeff enlisted in the Army in 1979 and became an Army Ranger, qualifying as a sharpshooter. He later graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1984 with a degree in Aviation Maintenance.

On August 12th 1988, he married the love of his life, Teresa. Together, they lived a life of passion and purpose to fulfill God's Plan. In 1998, Jeff began and pastored Cottonwood Cowboy Church in Tularosa, NM. He continued to preach the uncompromised Word of God at The Cross Family Worship Center in Alamogordo, NM, until his race was finished. Jeff has been employed as an aircraft mechanic through Lear Siegler (LSI), DynCorp, and NASA. Most recently, he worked as a Flight Engineer and QA for Army Air. He enjoyed his job with such a high level of commitment and integrity.

Jeff lived every moment of life for his family. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers, animals, roping, camping, shooting, hunting, hiking, fishing, and anything that allowed him to be outdoors enjoying God's creation. Jeff was great at anything he put his hands to, there was nothing he could not do. Jeff loved children of all ages and they loved him. He served in the ministry, teaching children and youth, as well as coached little league and has served as a ref for many years. Jeff lived what he preached, impacting so many lives in so many ways.

Survivors include his wife and best friend, Teresa Coburn (Brusuelas); three children, Michele Coburn of Hobbs, NM, Jeremiah (Courtney) Coburn of Hobbs, NM, and Joshua Coburn of Alamogordo, NM, all of whom he was extremely proud of; Two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Jace Wyatt and Cody James Coburn of Hobbs, NM; His mother, Patricia Coburn (John Cherry) of Alamogordo, NM; One brother, Jerry (Retha) Coburn of Grapevine, TX; One brother in law, Sammy Ray Brusuelas of Alamogordo, NM; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
